Oulu Waste Management waste collection point is managed by Hailuoto 4H Association. The collection point is for private households’ use. Also small amounts of hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste can be taken to the collection point.

The collection point is open on Mondays at 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The fee for construction and mixed waste is 30 euros/load. The load may weigh a maximum of 200 kg.
Large amounts of private household hazardous, construction and demolition waste or industrial mixed or recyclable waste as well as risky material shall be delivered to Oulu Rusko waste management plant.
Ecological waste has its own collection points which are meant for recyclable packages and containers. The collection points lie in the market place, next to Hailuoto K-Market.
Garden waste can be taken to the collection point for biodegradable waste by Viinikantie. The collection point is open for a few weekends a year – from May to June in spring and August-September in autumn. The collection point is managed by Hailuoto 4H Association, who notifies the general public online about the opening hours and also in the municipal communication. The association charges a small fee for biodegradable waste taken to the collection point.
